About Casa Africa.
We bought an old Cortijo (Farmhouse) set on 11000m2 in an agricultural area next to the sleepy village of La Escarihuela in 2023. It had been empty for a while and certainly required some love and attention which we hope and believe we have given to the property making it a relaxing environment to unwind and ‘chill’.
We have a large olive grove with some fruit trees with the front gardens hosting an amazing large swimming pool and decking area for soaking up the sun. (Outdoor kitchen with bar to be completed soon)!  From the gates of the house are cycling/walking/hiking trails. It is situated 20 minutes from the historical town of Lorca which is beautiful to explore and like most places in Spain has many festivals. We are a 25-minute drive from the stunning coastal towns of Aguilas and San Juan De Los Terreros, famous for their spectacular beaches and fiestas. Both towns offer many bars and restaurants by the seaside, but you also have the choice of several good bars/restaurants within a few minutes’ drive from the house. You can enjoy traditional Spanish fare in all of them!
